I am extremely delighted to observe that Muhammad Nawaz Shareef University of Agriculture (MNSUA), Multan is progressing at a fast pace, despite the fact that it is a newly emerging University in the Punjab province and it is currently facing a variety of hurdles which one could expect at the initial phases of execution of an institution of higher learning. At the initial stage the University was run by a number of interim arrangements including administration and other academic and development processes, but now with the appointment of a regular vice chancellor I hope the University will stride ahead expeditiously. A state-of-art curriculum, teaching methodology and learning resources currently being developed will certainly make MNSUA as one of the most innovative and vibrant Universitiesof our country in the field of agriculture.
I appreciate all endeavors currently being made by the MNSUA for introducing modern agricultural education particularly focusing on the agricultural issues related to Southern Punjab wherein mango orchards and cotton crop have a tremendous contribution towards national GDP. I would appreciate if the MNSUA faculty would help the students, researchers and farmers of the region in terms of disseminating latest knowledge on these two economically important crops to attain maximal yield.
I wish every success to the University in its future endeavors and I desire to see it at par with its counterparts in the upcoming years.
Ch. Muhammad Sarwar
Governor of the Punjab/Chancellor
